HealthLab Throat Microphone MKF-02
As part of measurements with the psycho-physiological monitoring system HealthLab are among others speech signals of a proband of relevance. Thus, for example, conclusions about the mental and physical arousal / stress of the subject can be drawn from the postponement of his vocal fundamental frequency. This is recorded e.g. by the HealthLab Satellite SAT-07 using the HealthLab Throat Microphone MKF-02. Versus a standard microphone, the MKF-02 provides the advantage, that the voice of the subject is transmitted by structure-borne sound from the larynx, and so ambient noise, which may interfere with the measurement, are significantly reduced.
The MKF-02 is equipped with a spring clip. To apply the microphone, the clip must be bent so far open, that it can be guided over the neck of the proband. Now the spring clip is to put from the back around the neck in a way, that the microphone capsules are positioned laterally - left and right - of the larynx. The neck / spring clip can easily be adapted to the neck circumference of the proband by moving the microphone capsules.
